Cleaning windows with de-ionised or pure water is extremely effective as it thoroughly cleans the frames, seals and the glass. This keeps the frames in good condition and cleans away algae, dirt and dust and of course means that there is a nice clear view from inside the property.

It is true that the windows tend to get covered in salt during stormy weather, but the next rain shower will usually clean this away as the there is nothing sticky to hold it in place.
The other big advantage with pure water cleaning is that cleaning in the rain makes no difference to the outcome of the job. Traditionally window cleaners only worked in dry weather as it is very difficult to clean windows when its raining as part of the job when cleaning is to use a very dry cloth to detail the edges and buff any spots or streaks, when these cloths become wet they will leave smears rather than a good finish. Also the ground gets slippery in the rain and it becomes more dangerous to use ladders especially if it is also breezy. Also, lets face it, working outside in the rain is not usually very pleasant.
We like to provide a totally reliable service. Every time we clean the windows on a regular job we notify the customer of a planned date for the next clean, we always try to come on the day planned as rain does not interfere with the quality of the work. However during stormy weather we may need to re-schedule.
We still use the traditional methods of window cleaning with soap, water a mop and squeegee as sometimes this is the best tool for the job, an example would be indoor windows or undercover shop fronts.
